Unlocking Digital Potential: A Hands-On Coding Workshop

Summary: Thinking of setting up a code club or curious to see what one entails? Maybe you already run one and have your own stories to share? This workshop serves as a gateway to the world of programming, offering participants the opportunity to dive into the basics of Scratch, Python, Microbits and more. Through this interactive session we will share our experience of running a code club both in person and online, while giving you practical skills and the confidence to create your own digital projects. Whether you’re a novice looking to get started or an enthusiast seeking to expand your toolkit, this workshop will get you started on your journey to unlocking your coding potential and embracing the possibilities of the digital age.

Session type: Workshop - cabaret/classroom layout
Duration: 1 hour

Notes: Session could be run as 1.5 hours or an 1hr. A longer session will give more time for coding.

There may be a third person as part of the session - TBC

FYI - Paul is based in the School of Medicine rather than Computer Science and helps run a local code club in a library.
